Use these official routes for the records most often requested in Mercer County:
- Court case files: see criminal court case records, or contact the clerk of the court that heard the case
- Personal statewide criminal history: use the New Jersey State Police fingerprint-based Personal Record Request
- Booking and jail records: contact Mercer County Correction Center at 1750 River Road, Hopewell Township, 609-397-7460
- Warrants: call Mercer County Sheriff Criminal Warrants at 609-989-6134 or the issuing court
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Expungement: begin with the New Jersey Courts electronic Expungement System
The Mercer County Sheriff's Office is at 175 South Broad Street, Trenton, NJ 08650, 609-989-6125. Criminal Warrants is 609-989-6134 and after-hours Communications is 609-989-6111. Superior Court criminal files are handled by Mercer Criminal Division at 400 South Warren Street, 609-571-4070. County administrative OPRA requests route through County Counsel at 640 South Broad Street, 609-989-6513, during the county's commonly posted Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. hours.
